Tragedy can strike any one of us at any time and it can be especially tough if you lose hope that tomorrow will be better than today. A lot of Haitians are dealing with the bleek outlook that tomorrow won't be any better than the horrors they're dealing with right now.

Imagine dealing with destruction all around you, the dead and severely injured virtually everywhere you look, no food, no water, no shelter, not knowing if anyone in your family is still alive or even if help is coming.

But with the recent devastation in Haiti, our focus now is on helping people who are truly living through unimaginable conditions depending on aid from people like you for basic human necessities like food, shelter, water and something equally as important; hope.

Over 230,000 Haitians have died (count still rising as more bodies are found) and 1.2 MILLION more lost their homes as a result of the magnitude 7.0 earthquake that hit Haiti on January 12, 2010. To put that into perspective, in 2008 the population of Orlando Florida was 230,519 as estimated by the United States Census Bureau.
